Privacy Policy for Document Scanner
About this policy
Document Scanner is provided by Aktyva konsaltynh technologies. This policy describes the data handling supported by the current Android application and its supplied Store description. Privacy questions may be sent to mateuszbednarski696@gmail.com.
Data accessed and stored
Document Scanner accesses your camera when you allow camera access and use scanning. It processes camera preview images to estimate page boundaries and saves captured pages on your device. You can deny or revoke camera permission through Android settings; your existing document library remains available.
The app stores original captures, processed page images, document titles, project identifiers, activity timestamps, page order, crop coordinates, rotation, image adjustments, and app preferences locally. Scanned documents may contain personal or sensitive information, depending on what you capture.
No account is required. The inspected application does not implement developer-operated uploads, remote document storage, advertising, analytics, or tracking. It does not transmit your scans or library to the developer. Although the Android manifest includes Internet permission, the inspected scanning, editing, library, and export functions operate locally and do not implement network transfers.
How data is used
The app uses camera images and stored project information to capture pages, correct perspective, adjust contrast and grayscale, rotate and preview pages, organize and search documents, restore your library, and generate PDF or JPEG exports. Preferences are used to remember selected settings.
The app also writes operation errors to Android's system log for troubleshooting. No remote crash-reporting or diagnostic-upload service was identified in the inspected source.
Sharing, saving, and third-party components
The app shares document files when you choose an app through Android's share menu. The selected app receives access to the exported file. When you save an export, Android lets you select a destination, which may include a storage provider that uploads files to its own service. Those apps and providers handle the files according to their own policies.
An alternative capture option can open a camera application and give it access to the designated capture file so it can save the photograph.
The inspected dependencies include AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, and Kotlin components used for the interface and local operation. No advertising, analytics, tracking, or remote crash-reporting SDK was identified. The app does not automatically share your document library with third-party services.
Storage and security
Scan projects and preferences are stored in the app's private Android storage. The app disables Android's automatic app backup and uses a non-public file provider with access grants for camera and sharing operations.
No additional app-level encryption of stored scans was identified. The app does not implement its own network transmission of scans, so encryption in transit is not applicable to its local document processing. Transfers performed by a selected sharing app or storage provider depend on that service's protections. No storage or transfer method can guarantee complete security.
Retention
Projects remain locally available until you delete them or remove the app's data. When the library is successfully saved, the app attempts to delete original and processed JPEG files that are no longer referenced by any project.
Exporting also creates a local working copy. During subsequent library saves, the app attempts to remove working export files more than 24 hours old. This cleanup requires a library save and is not a guarantee of deletion at exactly 24 hours. Copies saved to another destination or sent through another app remain under your control or that recipient's control.
Deletion and your choices
You can remove individual pages or delete documents using the app's controls. You can clear the app's storage through Android settings or uninstall it to remove its private local projects and preferences. Export important documents before doing so.
Deleting a project does not delete copies you previously exported, saved elsewhere, or shared. Delete those copies separately through the relevant app, storage provider, or recipient.
For privacy questions or deletion-related requests, contact mateuszbednarski696@gmail.com. The app has no account system or developer-hosted scan library, and the developer cannot remotely delete scans stored only on your device. No separate in-app deletion-request service was identified.
Children's privacy
Document Scanner is a document productivity app. A specific intended age audience has not been established in the supplied information. The inspected app does not include an age-collection feature, account registration, or a mechanism for sending children's personal information to the developer. Documents captured by any user are handled locally as described in this policy.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or its data practices. The revised policy should be made available with the applicable app or Store policy information. The current app does not implement a dedicated privacy-policy change notification feature.
